Habitat Harmony House Party

Al White, city councilman, visits with Habitat Harmony volunteers at the Habitat Harmony House Party for volunteers and supporters on January 19, 2008.  The event was held at 7315 W. Suzette.  Due to snowy roads, valet parking was provided by Habitat volunteers from Suzette Rd to the house.

Our website was introduced for the first time, and there were brief updates on Translocations, Prairie Dog Day 2009, the AZ Preservation Plan for Gunnisons, the Study Group for Wildlife and Open Spaces, and Education.  Our Ambassador prairie dogs, Feisty Britches and Bo Jangles were introduced; they were captured as pups at the site of the new fire station on Ft Valley Road and will be part of our educational presentations.

Everyone enjoyed salads and bread served on compostable tableware and the music of mother and son duo Kathleen and Ryan Stigmon.
